It is so true that we so oft...I love the insights. It is so true that we so often romanticize the past and usually result in losing the realism of the then so we can have "happy thoughts" as we try to remember what life was like. Truly history is always in the interpretation of the author. Too many of us have lost the roots of who we are and more importantly what we want to become.
